St. Charles College's annual food drive brought in 175,000 food items for the Sudbury Food Bank this year.

The food drive, which is more than three decades old, is organized by St. Charles' student council and supported by not only the St. Charles student body, but the kids at Holy Trinity, St. Paul, St. John St. Paul and Pius XII schools.

“Every year they are humbled by the support of the community when staff and students knock on doors asking for donations,” said principal Patty Mardero.

“While the drive is awesome, the best part is when the leadership students visit the food bank warehouse to help unload the cans and see with their own eyes how much food is needed to feed a community,” said teacher Paola Gutscher.

St. Charles student council president Colton Gobbo, as well as Mardero, said in a press release they'd like to thank everyone who has taken the time to support the food drive year after year.
