Rainbow Routes Association will welcome Pee-Wee the Otter to the Rainbow Routes Trail Network on July 4.

Cast from an original sculpture by local artist Tyler Fauvelle, the metal-infused artwork will be unveiled at the New Sudbury Historical Trail, Wednesday, July 4 at 6 p.m.

A naming contest gave Pee-Wee, the family-friendly artwork, its playful name.

To join in on this unveiling, meet at the very back of the Lasalle Cemetery, where Rainbow Routes Association volunteers will guide you to the Otter’s den, also known as a holt or couch.

Participants will be free to explore the trail, visit the newly-constructed Mini-Stonehenge, or try out urban poling with the help of community hike leader volunteers.

Representatives of Rainbow Routes Association, and the sculptor, Tyler Fauvelle, will be available to discuss the new feature.

Snacks and drinks will be provided.
