Students become 'Masters of the Road to Riches'

Thirty-six Laurentian University and Cambrian College students participated in the finale of the second annual Road to Riches Accounting Challenge Feb. 3.

The event, sponsored by the local community of chartered accountants, challenges student teams to analyze their knowledge of accounting and auditing issues with the assistance of a chartered accountant student mentor.

Team "Everyday Normal Guys" won the challenge, the $500 first prize and the title of "Masters of the Road to Riches.”

Those on the winning team are mentor Chris Piel, and Laurentian students Marc Boivin, Jesse Longlade, Zach Drinkwalter and Keith Hutton.
