Cambrian College and Collège Boréal are planning a community cleanup for Friday, June 16 to maintain Sudbury’s natural beauty, enhance collaboration through relationship building, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ontario College system.

Busloads of staff from the two community colleges will meet at Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m. on Friday to hear remarks from Greater Sudbury Mayor Brian Bigger and the two college presidents, Bill Best (Cambrian) and Daniel Giroux (Collège Boréal).

The teams will be bused to locations around the city to tidy up litter and debris.

Cambrian College and Collège Boréal are joining 50th anniversary celebrations of the Ontario college system to highlight the important role that community colleges play in preparing graduates for careers close to home, and in supporting communities and economic growth.

This collaborative event is part of those celebrations and will forge stronger ties between the two institutions.
