Sudbury foodies raise big funds for Northern Cancer Foundation

Amazing Taste Sudbury raises more than $41,000

The second annual Amazing Taste Sudbury raised more than $41,000 for the Northern Cancer Foundation on Aug. 11.

More than 220 Sudbury foodies toured through six different local establishments including, Durham Social – Respect is Burning Upper Loft, Taco Sol, Science North Ramsey Room (catered by: Bryston’s on the Park), Cara’s Food Truck, Northern Water Sports Centre (catered by: Regency Bakery), Idylwylde Gold & Country Club, and Grotto (Pit Stop).

“We’re so happy that this unique event is taking off,” said Tannys Laughren, Executive Director of the Northern Cancer Foundation in a news release. 

“We love the parallel we’re drawing between local cancer care and local businesses coming together. The Amazing Taste is a Sudbury celebration through and through.”

One hundred per cent of the money raised through the event will support the Northeast Cancer Centre for patient care, equipment and research.
