Sudbury gas prices jump eight cents/litre

If you were hoping to take advantage of the relatively low gas prices we had in the city earlier this week, you're probably out of luck.

Most Sudbury gas stations are now charging 104.9, according to GasBuddy.com. That's a jump of eight cents per litre over yesterday morning, when most stations were charging 96.6.

However, some gas stations are still listed as charging under a dollar a litre, the cheapest of which is Mac's in Lively and Chelmsford and Pioneer in Chelmsford, which are charging 95.2. The most expensive gas in the city is 105.3 at Petro Canada in Hanmer.

In nearby Sturgeon Falls, gas ranges in price from 95.9 to 97.9.

The average price of gas in Ontario today is 97.8. The cheapest gas in the province is 83.9 in Muncey. The most expensive Ontario gas listed on GasBuddy.com today is 128.5 in Chapleau.
