Sudbury gas prices lowest they've been in years

Gas prices in Greater Sudbury are currently at the lowest levels they've been in years.

Most gas stations in Sudbury are currently charging 90.5, according to GasBuddy.com.

But the prices at several local gas stations have dropped well below the 90 cent mark, with the cheapest being 86.2 at Mac's in Chelmsford. The most expensive gas in town is 90.9 at Petro Canada on Highway 17 and Shell in Hanmer.

In nearby Sturgeon Falls, gas prices have also dropped, in that community's case to between 83.7 and 83.9.

The average price of gas in Ontario today is 87.0. The cheapest gas in the province is 64.3 in St. Catharines. The most expensive gas in Ontario, as reported on GasBuddy.com, is 158.0 on Pelee Island.
