The Sudbury Kidney Walk will take place at Delki Dozzi Park on Sunday, Sept. 13.
The annual event raises funds for the Kidney Foundation of Canada, which is a leading national charity dedicated to kidney health and improved lives for all people living with kidney disease.
One in 10 Canadians has kidney disease, and many more are at risk. In Ontario, nearly 10,000 people depend on dialysis treatments several times a week, and more than 1,000 people are waiting for a kidney transplant.
Forty-one kidney walks will take place in Ontario throughout September and October.
