“My wife and I scratched our tickets while watching the hockey game. I was the one who scratched the winner,” said Jacques, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings.

“We stared at each other in disbelief and kept double checking the ticket and looking at the rules on the back.”

The couple tossed and turned all night until they were able to confirm their win at the store. “And then we hopped in the car and drove to Toronto to claim our prize,” said Jacques.

The retirees say this win will make life that much easier.

“After paying off our new car, we’ll pack it up and take some road trips this summer. New golf clubs and a new computer may also be in the cards,” he said

Instant High Roller is a $5 INSTANT game that has eight top prizes of $100,000. Overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.82.

The winning ticket was purchased at Madison Confectionery on Madison Avenue in Sudbury.
