Smart meters have been installed in homes and businesses throughout Ontario so customers' bills will reflect actual usage and not an estimate. Time-of-use pricing means hydro will cost different amounts during different times of the day.
Right now in Greater Sudbury, 22,000 people are being billed under the new time-of-use pricing system. Twelve thousand people have received their first bill under the new system. The remainder of the city will be switched over to time-of-use pricing by June.
Have you noticed an increase in your hydro bill? Are you taking precautions to help conserve electricity?
