Sudbury's Green Party members poised to elect candidate for provincial election in June

Greater Sudbury members of the Green Party of Ontario will select a candidate to represent the riding in the provincial election on June 7.

A nomination meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28.

“With an election taking place this spring, folks will have the chance to add Green to our provincial legislature,” said Pat Rogerson, president of the Sudbury Green Party of Ontario Constituency Association, and past Green Party of Ontario candidate for Sudbury. 

“The Green Party consistently shows that it cares about the health and well-being of this planet. We need people who understand how to implement policies that will lead to a cleaner environment without sacrificing our way of life. Our experience and knowledge will make a great way forward, and we here is Sudbury can help elect a responsible representative this year.” 

To vote or run as a nomination candidate, your Green Party of Ontario membership must be current by Feb. 14, 2018. Memberships can be purchased or renewed online at www.gpo.ca.
