Support local farmers this weekend at The Market

Early frost not slowing down farmers as harvest season approaches
Market
Check out what's going on at The Market this week. The Paris/York Street location is still going strong, as is the downtown location on Elgin Street.

York Street Location – Thursday, Sept 7, from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

The Market’s Paris/York Street location is still going strong as we move into harvest season. Come down and visit the many farmers and other vendors who will be on hand, and pick up your local market dinner, plus gifts and more.

Thursday is your last chance to buy a ticket for the Cambrian Camaro raffle.

Elgin Street Location – Saturday, Sept. 9, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

"Now more than ever, local farms need your support as 2017 has been the most challenging growing season we have seen in years," said a news release from Market organizers.

"But despite last week’s early frost, local farmers still have a large selection of your Fall favourite beans, carrots, potatoes and cabbage. Plus, our local farmers have curiosities like purple potatoes, lemon cucumbers, and miniature “pot roast” carrots that you won’t see anywhere else!"

At 11 a.m, The Jubilation Quartet will delight Market-goers with their folk song repertoire and beautiful harmonies. You are sure to find yourself tapping your toes, and joining in the singing with this sub-group of the Sudbury Jubilee Ensemble.

The Market is open rain or shine at both locations. Check them out on Facebook for more vendor features each week.
