Suspended driver caught with unsealed liquor in his vehicle

A 34-year-old man from Severn Township had his vehicle towed and his licence suspended after Sudbury OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 69 in the early hours of Jan. 5

At approximately 1 a.m., members of the Sudbury (Noelville) OPP detachment responded to a complaint of erratic driving on Highway 69 in the Municipality of French River.

Police located the vehicle on Highway 69 approaching Sudbury. 

As a result of the investigation, the man was charged with driving while under suspension and Driving Motor Vehicle with Unsealed Container of Liquor.

The driver was also served with a seven day driver's licence suspension for registering a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) in the "Warn Range" of .05 to .08.

The vehicle was towed from the scene and the driver is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury.
