St. Charles College teachers Paola Gutscher and Jessica Demore recently turned the school's washrooms into a place of inspiration, as well as their more obvious purpose.
After hours spent on Pinterest researching inspirational quotes, they quickly got to work.
With the help of educational assistants Jodi MacDonald and Christina Nadeau, the ladies spent days creating vinyl decals with positive sayings such as “Spread Kindness Around like Confetti” and “A smile is the best makeup any girl can wear.”
“School can be a very stressful time for students with the assignments, due dates, and testing,” said Poala Gutscher, in a press release.
“We wanted to remind students to look for the positive in things and that they matter.”
We can all use a reminder at times that we are enough, and many of the comments on the school's Facebook page come from parents, and community members saying they wish they had these simple positive reminders on their own hard days, said a press release from the school board.
The mission of this project is to spread love, kindness, and positivity throughout the school.
So far, students have nothing but exciting things to say, said the press release.
The staff members hope to add more quotes throughout the school in the future.
