If someone knocked on your door or called on your phone concerning water quality at your home, don’t be fooled: These people don’t work for the City of Greater Sudbury.

The city issued a release today advising residents to use caution when someone calls or visits your home with questions about water quality and suggestions about water filtration systems.

In a news release, the city said the municipality is not contacting home owners asking to test their water quality nor is the city now in the business of selling water filtration systems.

“The municipality never contracts private companies for door-to-door sales,” the release said.

If you have a question about water quality or if you receive an odd phone call or visitor on the topic, dial 3-1-1 for further information.
