Glenn Thibeault hosted Health Minister Eric Hoskins and community members at a roundtable to discuss Sudbury's health care priorities, today.

The roundtable, a second in a series of community meetings hosted by Thibeault, gave local care providers the opportunity to have a frank discussion on the future of Sudbury’s health care with Hoskins.

“Access to quality health care is a concern I hear from nearly everyone I speak to when I’m out in the community,” said Thibeault. “Sudbury needs an advocate, fighting for better services at the local level, more doctors, nurses and therapists and better services for our seniors. Sudbury needs a voice at the table where our health care decisions are being made and I’m happy to have started that conversation here today.”

Issues discussed with MPP Hoskins at the roundtable included the PET scanner, access to doctors, wait times and the availability of quality long-term care for Sudbury seniors.

“I’m pleased to be connecting with some of the hard-working health-care professionals of Sudbury today, hearing and seeing firsthand the unique challenges they face,” said Hoskins.
