Think about others on Giving Tuesday

Many people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Now Giving Tuesday, which takes place Dec. 2, has come to Canada.

Many people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Now Giving Tuesday, which takes place Dec. 2, has come to Canada.

This global day of giving and volunteering takes place every year on the Tuesday following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and kicks off the giving season.

Giving Tuesday encourages individuals, groups and businesses to give back to their favorite organizations, whether it is by making a donation or volunteering their time.

Here in Sudbury, Topper's Pizza will be asking its customers on Dec. 2 if they want to give a contribution to Sudbury Crime Stoppers.

Mayor-elect Brian Bigger will officially proclaim Dec. 2 Giving Tuesday at a ceremony at the Hampton Inn, starting at 10 a.m.
