Thousands gather for Remembrance Day service (7 photos)

Sudburians packed the stands at Sudbury Arena for the city's annual Remembrance Day service this morning.

Sudburians packed the stands at Sudbury Arena for the city's annual Remembrance Day service this morning.

Participating in the ceremony were Royal Canadian Legion branches from across the city, as well as members of the 2nd Battalion Irish Regiment of Canada, the Admiral Mountbatten Sea Cadets and the 200 Wolf Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadet. Provincial, federal and municipal politicians also took part.

This year's Silver Cross Mother is Claudette Roberge.
