About three dozen jobs at Atlas Copco Canada's Sudbury plant will be transferred to Mississauga by Jan. 1.

Radomir Maric, general manager of Atlas Copco in Lively, said the company is being reorganized so that the head office is in Mississauga.

He said the company's Sudbury office is a “strong organization,” and wants to make use of “this experience” in Mississauga. The company has opened new “hubs” in several major cities throughout Canada, Maric said.

“In the head office in Mississauga, we will have different positions from up to myself, GM...We will try to develop our organization in Canada in the same way we developed here in Sudbury.”

He said there are currently about 200 people working at Atlas Copco's Sudbury plant.
