Public Health Sudbury and Districts has just reported there are three new COVID-19 related deaths in the Sudbury district, but no further details are being revealed. All deaths occurred in Greater Sudbury.

"These deaths will be included in Public Health’s daily update of COVID-19 case data at 4 p.m. today. A total of 19 deaths have now been reported across our service area since the beginning of the pandemic," said the news release which was reported just after 1 p.m. Monday.

There is no information on how the deaths occurred, if all three deaths are related to each other or if any of the deaths are related to any of the various outbreaks that have occurred in Sudbury in recent weeks and days.

The only other information published with the news of the deaths was the usual recommendation that citizens follow the pandemic precautions of staying home unless for essential reasons, to practise physical distancing, to wear a mask and to maintain proper hand hygiene.

Sudbury.com has asked where these deaths have occurred but we have not received an answer from Public Health. The story will be updated as new information becomes available.
