Parkdale-High Park MPP Cheri DiNovo will be in town March 7 to speak about her private member's bill, which would boost the province's minimum wage to $10 an hour.
She will speak at the Quality Inn and Conference Centre starting at 6:30 pm. DiNovo is a United Church Minister who was elected to the legislature as an NDP member Sept. 14, 2006 in a by-election.
She is social justice-oriented and favours the inclusion of marginalized groups, including women, gays, and the poor into the mainstream of Christian life.
