The Trek for Cancer snowshoeing event takes place this Sunday, March 5 at Kivi Park.
The Northern Cancer Foundation fundraiser will involve four different distances – 1 km, 3 km, 5.5 km and 7 km. The registration fee is $35. Participants are encouraged to raise funds by collecting pledges.
While Trek for Cancer focused on stomach cancer initiatives last year, for its second year, donors can earmark money they raise for any Northern Cancer
Foundation fund, supporting initiatives including patient care, equipment and research.
Children aged 12 and under can take part for free. There will be a kids' area for children. Registration starts at 9 a.m.
