The Northern Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) has approved funding of $25,000 for the launch of the Caverly Chiropractic Health Centre in Val Caron.

Sudbury MPP Rick Bartolucci made the announcement Wednesday.

"Through our Young Entrepreneur Program, the McGuinty government continues to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to economic development in our area," said Bartolucci, in a release.

"By helping these young entrepreneurs with start up costs, we are assisting the transition from education and training to the workforce, which has a positive impact as these businesses grow into viable contributors to our local economy."

Funding from the announcement will be used to purchase necessary equipment and machinery for the centre.

Since 2003, the NOHFC's Young Entrepreneur Program has invested over $570,000 towards 26 projects in Greater Sudbury, resulting in the creation of 45 jobs.
