Veterans to commemorate Battle of the Atlantic

The Battle of the Atlantic, which took place during the Second World War, will be commemorated at a ceremony, which starts in the foyer of Tom Davies Square May 2 at 10:30 a.m.

Hosted by the Manitoulin and North Shore Naval Veterans Association, local Sea and Navy League cadets, and the Sudbury branch of Navy League, the event will feature a parade from Tom Davies Square, which will proceed past the cenotaph in Memorial Park where surviving members of Second World War naval services and the Battle of the Atlantic will take the salute.

The parade will assemble at Tom Davies Square at 10:30 a.m. and proceed west on Larch, south on Minto and arrive at the naval memorial for a service and ceremony.
