Video: Pierre Poilievre on a Sudbury Saturday Night

The Conservative leader came to Sudbury Jan. 13 as part of his Axe the Tax tour, stopping for media and a rally with supporters

Speaking from the tailgate of a pickup truck, federal Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre was flanked by supporters as he addressed the media Jan. 13 in front of his new billboard in at Lorne and Walnut Streets in Sudbury. The trip was part of his Axe the Tax tour, referring to Poilievre promise to remove carbon taxes if his government is elected. After speaking with the media, Poilievre met with around 150 supporters at the Holiday Inn on Regent Street. 

Welcomed by supporters and chants of "Axe the Tax" Poilievre spent the weekend making a trip around the North, headed to Sault Ste. Marie after his stop in Sudbury. He was in Thunder Bay on Friday, Jan. 12, and stopped in Timmins and North Bay before heading to the Nickel City.
