Due to a water main break on Barry Downe Road the south bound curb lane will be closed south of Swiss Chalet, affecting both mall entrances.

Water will be turned off while the repairs are being completed. Many businesses in the area will be impacted including the New Sudbury Shopping Mall; however the mall will remain open.

Customers are asked to use the entrances on Lasalle Boulevard.

Repairs are anticipated to be completed by tomorrow morning and the City will provide updates as further information is available.

Residents in the area may notice some possible water discolouration and fluctuating water pressures.

To clear discoloured water, residents are asked to run the cold water tap that is closest to their water meter for several minutes to clear sediments from house hold plumbing.

A prolonged period of discoloured water and / or low water pressure should be reported to the City of Greater Sudbury by dialing 3-1-1.
