Starting on Oct. 28, a portion of Bancroft Drive will be closed from Levesque to Estelle Street as part of the first phase of a water main and storm sewer replacement.

The work will require a full road closure between between the two streets, the city said in a media release, but access will remain open to homes and emergency services.

Traffic will detour via Estelle, Rheal and Levesque Streets to and from Bancroft Drive. This detour will remain in effect until the end of November.

As well, on Levesque Street water main and service line replacement has closed through access north of the Rheal Street intersection and south of the Kingsway.

Base asphalt has been applied from the Bancroft Drive intersection to the Rheal Street detour, and access remains open to homes and emergency services.

Access to Tim Hortons and New Sudbury Pentecostal Church remains open from the Kingsway. Motorists are detoured via Rheal, Donald and Yollie Streets to and from the Kingsway.
