The Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association will host a welcome reception for the two Syrian families that arrived in Sudbury in the past month.
The reception will be held on Jan. 21 for the Quarquouz and Alzahran families at the Older Adult Centre inside the YMCA at 6 p.m.
Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeault, Nickel Belt MPP France Gélinas, GSPS Chief Paul Pedersen and members of a number of different cultural groups will be on hand to greet and get to know the families.
