Students from Eye Level Learning Centre will be hosting a community lemonade stand on June 13, between noon and 4 p.m.

Lemonade for a Cause will raise money in support of Health Sciences North's Eastern Ontario Health Centre for Kids (NEO Kids) at the Eye Level Learning Centre on Long Lake Road in Sudbury.

The event has raised more than $2,000 to date and is a true example of kids helping kids.

“Eye Level is a premium global brand in after school supplemental education,” said Meera Grover, owner and director at Eye Level, in a press release. “In addition to providing learning experiences, we are trying to encourage a sense of community work in our students and what a better cause than NEO Kids.”

Independent fundraisers like Lemonade for a Cause enable individuals, community groups, businesses, employee groups, schools and service clubs to raise funds for Health Sciences North Foundation by organizing, managing and financially supporting their own fundraising event.

“Lemonade for a Cause has turned into an annual event raising funds to support kids in our community,” said Mary Lou Hussak, executive director of the Health Sciences North Foundation. “Special thanks to Meera, her students, and families of Eye Level Learning Centre who continue to inspire and empower children to make a difference for other children in our community.”
