Workforce Planning for Sudbury & Manitoulin has released the 2023-24 Local Labour Market Plan (LLMP) report.

The report uses Statistics Canada data to chart the number and size of local businesses, the growth or decline by industry over the last year, and any changes between the 2016 to 2021 census periods.

The report focuses on employment by industry and occupation, in-out migration, educational attainment, size of the working age population, and number of tax filers with employment income.

Also included in the report are findings from a survey of key mining leaders on new innovations and technologies, and how these could impact on the mining workforce of the future. It also includes data from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) on apprenticeships, and use of local employment as well as literacy and basic skills services and programs.

Local jobs data is also included.

The full report is available in French and English. Find the full report here.
