Every year Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sudbury takes over Plaza Bowl for its annual bowl-a-thon fundraiser. On Saturday 108 teams participated in the event, which went from 1:30 p.m. to midnight.

A Cambrian College public relations student has been named a semi-finalist in the Emerge Media Awards competition.

Both of Sudbury's community colleges will host open houses for prospective students and their parents in the next two weeks. Collège Boréal is first with an open house on Saturday, April 2.

A Cambrian College professor is receiving a Caring Canadian Award from Governor General David Johnston next week.

Cambrian College public relations students Danielle MacEachern, Nikita Nilekani and Andrew Hunter organized a charity carnival on Wednesday at the Student Life Centre. A dunk tank, pie in the face, Plinko and cotton candy were the order of the day.

Greater Sudbury Police arrested a 25-year-old Sudbury man on March 19, in connection with a March 18 sexual assault. On Friday March 18, an incident occurred at the New Sudbury Shopping Center where an adult man inappropriately touched a young boy.
