It is with great sorrow that the family announces his sudden passing on Monday, February 26, 2024, at the age of 73 years.
Son of the late Albert Balicki and of the late Kathleen “Kay” (nee Quinn) Balicki-Wirchenko and late Fred Wirchenko. Beloved husband of 40 years to Gisèle Balicki. Loving father of Carrie (Edward) Dequanne, Tracey (Francis) Verellen, Kevin (Shannon) Balicki, Diane (Michel) Fortin and Kathleen (Richard) Martel. Cherished grandfather of Ashley, Shawn, Adam, Michelle, William, Ethan, Martin, Clare, Hunter, and Alexandre. Soon to be a proud great grandpa. Survived by his siblings Michael Balicki (Mary Ann), Peggy Bell (late Dan) and Ken Balicki (Wendy). Predeceased by his siblings Betty Ann Morgan (late Clifford), Robert Balicki (late Patricia) (late Marjorie) and Billy Balicki. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Paul really enjoyed hunting especially with the Dequanne family. Paul will be remembered for his love of world history, and he will also be remembered for being an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. The family wishes to express a thank you to the doctors and nurses at the emergency department at Health Sciences North. In keeping with Paul’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.
