BRUNELLE, Rita (née Sabourin)
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Rita Brunelle, who died on September 22, 2023, in Sudbury at the age of 68. Daughter of the late Pete and Cecile (nee Aubertin) Sabourin of Sturgeon Falls, ON. She is remembered by her estranged husband, Don Brunelle. Loving mother to Joanne (husband Sean), Tosh and Harley (partner Crystal) Brunelle. Cherished grandmother of Mackenzie, Chase, and Cory. Dear Sister of Norm. Rita will be reunited with her late sisters, Colette Masse and Joanne DeDiana. Equally missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Rita was a person with a big heart who had an extraordinary, playful spirit. She was a great mother who demonstrated love, joy, inclusivity, openness, and acceptance to all people. Rita was incredibly generous and frequently donated to the Red Cross. Her kindness knew no bounds. She had a special love for animals, especially her beloved dog, Lacey. Her smile was contagious, genuine, and beautiful, and she adored laughing. Her passing will be deeply felt by everyone who knew her.
