The family would like to announce with sadness the passing of Frank Charlebois on March 24, 2024 at Extendicare Countryside, Sudbury at the age of 99 years. He was born on January 28, 1925 in Québec, to Joseph and Eva Charlebois (both predeceased). François was the beloved husband of the late Frances May ‘‘Fran’’ Charlebois (née Jones). As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Frank's love knew no limits. His children- Penny Plourde (David Sanderson), Cyndy Haydl (Irvin), Rheal Charlebois (Shannon), late Ricky Charlebois (Christa), Marilyn Bishop (David), Nina Morissette (Robbie Demers) (late Denis Morissette) and Paula O’Connor (Tim)-were the very essence of his being. Beloved grandfather of Michelle, Christopher, Patricia, Christie, Lisa, Brittany, Jesse, Trevor, Misty, Joey, Kyrstin, Jonathan, Matthew, Brett, Troy, Nancy, Eric, Melanie, Michelle and Brian. He was a devoted Grandfather to 25 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Denise (late Adéodat), Cécile (late Jean Rémi), Hervé (late Rose) and Soeur Sylvie s.j.m. Predeceased by other siblings: Germaine (late René), Margo (late Laurent), Lise (late Hubert), André (Jacqueline), Fernand (Gislaine), Roland and Denis. His legacy extends beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of all who knew him. His kindness, generosity, and warm spirit left a lasting impression on countless nieces, nephews, friends, and community members. He was always known as a hard worker; he worked in the lumber business in his early years and retired from the town of Onaping falls as a machine operator. Dad volunteered as firefighter and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. His zest for life and contagious smile will always be remembered. Our family extends a huge thank you to Extendicare Falconbridge and to Meadowbrook Village for caring for our Dad and making him feel special.
