In loving memory of Mary Elizabeth Deschenes, (nee Camus) who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of 62 years, Mary is survived by her husband Paul Deschenes. Loving mother to her four children: Patricia (Ray), Andre (Kimberley), Carole (Richard) and Eva (Wayne). Grandma to 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, “Tootsie” met Paul at a church dance in Toronto, leading to their marriage in 1961 and building a family together in Capreol, Ontario. Mary’s was a life defined by love of family. She always found joy in the lives of those around her, from close family, extended family across the country and many friends.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Health Sciences North ICU and 5S and Maison McCullough Hospice for their care of Mary and her family.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCullough Hospice and Diabetes Canada would be welcomed.
