It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury, on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the age of 87 years. Son of the late Aristide Gervais and of the late Victoria (née Brault) Gervais. Predeceased by his wife Joanne (née Gratton) Gervais. Loving father of Monique Berthiaume (Yvan) and Roxanne Gervais (Mike Patrie). Cherished grandfather of Brigitte Berthiaume (Patrick Dion), Mireille Berthiaume (Charles Levac), Lisa Labine (Jordan), Sylvie Labine (Eric), Jeff Patrie (Taylor), Brad Patrie (Beth) and great-grandfather of Avayah, Carter and Samuel. Dear brother of Lina Gervais and Lise Gervais. Predeceased by his siblings Paul, Jules, Donald, Victorin, Gérald, Lorraine, Claire and Yvonne. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bert will be remembered for his love of life, his love for his family, his contagious smile and his willingness to always lend a helping hand. Bert enjoyed golfing, watching all sports and most of all loved the opportunity to chat with people. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St-Joseph Church, Chelmsford.
