Pauline Guérin
September 1, 1941 – October 20, 2022
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the death of Pauline (née Dionne) Guérin, who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, on Thursday, October 20, 2022 after a hard and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 81 years old. Beloved wife of Gilles Guérin for 53 years and loving mother of Vincent Guérin, both of Noëlville. Pauline is survived by her brothers Roger Dionne (Jeannette) of Sudbury, Rhéal Dionne (Jean) of Orillia, Michel Dionne (Joanne) of Hanmer, and Gilles Dionne (Pauline) of Ottawa. Predeceased by her very close and dear sister Claire Dionne-Cauchy, her father Roland Dionne, and her mother, Bernadette (née Guilbeault) Dionne.
Pauline was an elementary school teacher in Noëlville for 18 years. After retiring, she devoted her time in becoming an excellent homemaker and incredible cook for her husband and son. Her homemade soups, spaghetti with Italian sauce, and lasagna dish were among some of the many meals she excelled at creating and took pleasure sharing with her family. Pauline could always be found cleaning because she loved nothing more than a sparkling clean house. She took great pride in always keeping her home neat, spotless, and well organized.
Pauline will be remembered for her enjoyment of her favourite pastime of fishing on Lake Nipissing and camping at Shuswap Camp. It made her day when she would catch a smallmouth bass or northern pike while having a picnic on her favourite island on the lake. She liked travelling with her family and especially enjoyed the fun summer trips to the Rocky Mountains and Gaspésie, and the multiple winter trips to Florida. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and watching movies and television series. You could never disturb her when she watched her two favourite soaps, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.
Pauline is deeply loved and will dearly be missed by her family, relatives, and friends.
As per the wishes of Pauline and that of her family, a cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service or celebration of life, since she celebrated every day of her life surrounded by the love of her family. Cremation services provided by Cooperative Funeral Home in Sudbury. Entombment in the St. David Municipal Cemetery in Noëlville.

C'est avec une grande tristesse et le cœur lourd que la famille annonce le décès de Pauline (née Dionne) Guérin, décédée paisiblement à l’Horizon Santé Nord à Sudbury, le jeudi 20 octobre 2022 après une lutte acharnée et courageuse contre le cancer du pancréas. Elle avait 81 ans. Épouse bien-aimée de Gilles Guérin de 53 ans et mère bien-aimée de Vincent Guérin, tous deux de Noëlville. Pauline laisse dans le deuil ses frères Roger Dionne (Jeannette) de Sudbury, Rhéal Dionne (Jean) d'Orillia, Michel Dionne (Joanne) de Hanmer et Gilles Dionne (Pauline) d'Ottawa. Prédécédée par sa très proche et chère soeur Claire Dionne-Cauchy, son père Roland Dionne, et sa mère, Bernadette (née Guilbeault) Dionne.
Pauline a été enseignante au primaire à Noëlville pendant 18 ans. Après sa retraite, elle a consacré son temps à devenir une excellente femme au foyer et une incroyable cuisinière pour son mari et son fils. Ses soupes maison, ses spaghettis à la sauce italienne et son plat de lasagnes faisaient partie des nombreux plats qu'elle excellait à créer et prenait plaisir à partager avec sa famille. Pauline pouvait toujours être trouvée en train de nettoyer parce qu'elle n'aimait rien de plus qu'une maison propre. Elle était très fière de toujours garder sa maison propre, impeccable et bien organisée.
On se souviendra de Pauline pour son plaisir de son passe-temps favori de la pêche sur le lac Nipissing et du camping au camp Shuswap. C’était une bonne journée pour ellle quand elle attrapait un achigan à petite bouche ou un grand brochet tout en faisant un pique-nique sur son île préférée sur le lac. Elle aimait voyager avec sa famille et appréciait particulièrement les voyages d'été amusants dans les Rocheuses et la Gaspésie, et les multiples voyages d'hiver en Floride. Elle aimait aussi lire, faire des mots croisés et regarder des films et des séries télévisées. Vous ne pouviez jamais la déranger lorsqu'elle regardait ses deux romans préférés, The Bold and the Beautiful et The Young and the Restless.
Pauline est profondément aimée et manquera beaucoup à sa famille, ses proches et ses amis.
Selon les souhaits de Pauline et de sa famille, une crémation a eu lieu et il n'y aura ni service funéraire ni célébration de la vie, puisqu'elle a célébré chaque jour de sa vie entourée de l'amour de sa famille. Services de crémation fournis par la Cooperative funéraire de Sudbury. L’enterrement aura lieu au cimetière municipal Saint-David à Noëlville.
