It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeannette Maisonneuve, who departed this world at the age of 90. A beloved mother, and sister, she battled dementia with grace and resilience, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She peacefully entered eternal rest on December 28, 2023.

Born in Sudbury, she was the youngest sibling of eight children of the late Rene and Rose-Anne (Frenette) Doucet.

Beloved wife of Lorne Denis Maisonneuve (predeceased, 2007).  Loving mother of Richard, John both of Sudbury and Sue of Bermuda.  Dear sister of Real (Jeannette), Armand (Olive), Antoinette, Alice (Alf), Bertha (Jim), Yvette (Rolly) all predeceased and Leo Doucet (Joanne) of Ottawa.

Family and pets held a special place in her heart, and she reveled in the bonds that tied them together.  She can be remembered dancing at many of the parties, laughing and joking. She extended her caring touch to her siblings selflessly supporting them through their health challenges. Her compassion and strength were a source of comfort during difficult times, and her siblings found solace in her nurturing presence.

Known for her green thumb and a passion for the outdoors, Jeannette Maisonneuve found immense joy in tending to her yard. Whether it was planting vibrant flowers, meticulously mowing the lawn, or braving the winter chill to shovel the driveway, she transformed her surroundings into a haven of beauty and serenity. Her love for nature was a reflection of her nurturing spirit, and her gardens will forever stand as a testament to her vibrant and loving personality.

The family of Jeannette Maisonneuve invites friends and loved ones to join them in a Celebration of Life to honor her memory. Details of the celebration will be shared at a later date, allowing all who knew her to come together and celebrate a life well-lived.

May Jeannette Maisonneuve find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to bloom in the hearts of those who were touched by her love.

Rest in peace, dear Jeannette. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever live on in the beauty you cultivated and the love you shared.
