MALETTE, Donald

The family announces with great sorrow, the passing of Don Malette in Sudbury, on November 21, 2023, at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of the late Diane Malette (née Marchand). Son of the late Mathias and Mathilda (née Martel) Malette. Loving father to Marc Malette, Richard Malette and Liane Blouin. Predeceased by his son André (2006). Beloved and cherished Grandpa to Siana and Jacob, whom they dearly loved. Dear brother to Marge (late Len). Predeceased by his siblings: Ray (Eileen), Laurette (late Gerard), Denise (late Constant) and Gisele (late Pete). Don worked at INCO as a roaster operator for 30 years. He was a loyal supporter of the Sudbury wolves and a longtime Habs fan. Don loved having coffee with the gang at Tim Hortons, playing golf and bowling, which showcased his amazing athletic abilities. He will be warmly remembered for his fabulous jokes and sense of humour. The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff on the 4th floor South HSN, for their expert loving care and compassionate support. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Église St-Jean-de-Brébeuf, Sudbury, followed by a catered reception downstairs.
