It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Denis Pelland on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the age of 86. Cherished husband of 66 years to Murielle Pelland, predeceased in 2023.
Precious father of Sue Paquette (Phil), Ron Pelland (Diane Boudreault) and predeceased by his son Robert Pelland, by his parents Donatien & Roselia Pelland (nee Sylvestre) and his brothers Claude and Florian. Beloved Grandfather of Sylvie Paquette (Steve Boissonneault), Eric Paquette (Natalie Raymond), Jenny-Lynn Pelland (Shane White) and Jessie Pelland (Kevin McKay). Proud Great-Grandfather to Kassy Lewis (Clayton), Kailyn Boissonneault, Caleb Legros, Katia Legros, Keegan Fortin, Colton Marois, Hayden Larocque and Parker Larocque. Great Great Grandfather to John Lewis. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother Isidore Pelland (Gail), his brother-in-law Charlie Barrette (Simone), and sisters-in-law Paulette Pelland, Lise Pelland and Jeanine Barrette along with his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Denis loved being around his grandchildren and great grandchildren, he enjoyed playing the harmonica, building things and putting around the yard.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at HSN, Acute and Reactivation Care Centre and the Clarion for the care and compassion given to our father Denis.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a service in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Donations can be made by cheque or online to the Maison McCulloch Hospice. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca

Grand-père bien-aimé de Sylvie Paquette (Steve Boissonneault), Eric Paquette (Natalie Raymond), Jenny-Lynn Pelland (Shane White) et Jessie Pelland (Kevin McKay). Il laisse dans le deuil ses arrière-petits-enfants Kassy Lewis (Clayton), Kailyn Boissonneault, Caleb Legros, Katia Legros, Keegan Fortin, Colton Marois, Hayden Larocque et Parker Larocque. Ainsi que son arrière-arrière-petit-fils John Lewis. Il laisse également dans le deuil son frère Isidore Pelland (Gail), son beau-frère Charlie Barrette (Simone) et ses belles-sœurs Paulette Pelland, Lise Pelland et Jeanine Barrette ainsi que ses plusieurs nièces, neveux et famille élargis. Denis aimait être avec ses petits-enfants et arrière-petits-enfants, il aimait jouer la musique à bouche, construire des choses et entretenir la cour.
La famille tient à remercier tout le personnel de HSN, Acute and Reactivation Care Centre et du Clarion pour les soins et la compassion prodigués à notre père Denis.
