RATELLE, Diane

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her sudden passing in Sudbury, on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the age of 64 years. Beloved daughter to Claudette Ratelle-Daoust (late Roger) and the late Leonard Ratelle. Loving mother to Erika Saari. Cherished grandmother to Ayden and Vera. Dear sister to Jeannine Dowd, Carole Birmingham (Jay) and Denise Plante (Dan). She will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A note from her daughter: being an only child to a single mom, you learn who loves you most very quickly, which was you mom. We’ve been through hell and back together but one thing I always knew was I could count on you. You had a radiant smile that would make anyone smile in return. Your soul was absolutely stunning, inside and out. I will forever be grateful for your time on earth. Our memories together are constantly replaying in my mind. I'll always share those memories with your grandkids, my gosh, they love you so much. I’m the women I am today all because of you. You raised me to be tough, strong, classy and independent. I am the mother I am today because of you. My kids are my world, as I was your world. You’ve been a successful business women for nearly 20 years and I promise, I will continue to run your legacy as the Lice lady of Northern Ontario. I’ve heard so many great things from clients who would referring to you as the "nice lice lady" and I've been blown away as to how much you've impacted others lives. I will continue to make you proud. Till we meet again, I love you, Forever and always.

A huge thank you to all who helped my mom throughout the past few years. Also, a special thank you to all three of her sisters for everything, mom knew how much you all loved and cared for her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at 20 Birch Street, Garson (Garson Pub).
