The family announces with sadness his passing in Sudbury, Ontario on Sunday, November 8th 2020 at the age of 70 years old. Devoted son of the late Arthur and Gilberte Rochon (nee Roy) of Markstay.  Pre- deceased by his first wife Sue (Susie) Rochon (nee Faughnan), also pre-deceased by his second wife Lynda Rochon (nee McGary).  Proud father to Shelly Minnie (Scott), Jody Taylor (Rob), Jessica Vendette (David), Korinne Rochon (Garett) and Lana Celletti (Ryan).  Fondly remembered by his siblings, Paulette Lavoie (Jean-Yves) (late Maurice), Georgette Plante (late Jean-Paul), Art (Liisa) and Roy. Robin was a doting Pepere and Poppa to his grandchildren, Georgia, Eden, Broughan, Tavish, Makenna, Sierra and Colten.  He leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Lynda Thirkill for her support and friendship during this time.  Robin always spoke fondly about his beloved hometown, Markstay, where he grew up surrounded by his cousins and close family friends.  He was a proud Inco retiree and held many friendships from his career as a miner.  He was known for making friends easily and quickly wherever he went, always ready for a chat with a “howdy doody” greeting and funny story to tell.  He will be missed by so many.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at St. Marc Parish in Markstay.  “Have a day!” www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
