February 27, 1925 – February 5, 2024 (in his 99th year)
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Raoul J. Servant who passed away of natural causes on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the age of 98. Beloved husband of the late Irene (nee Lahaie) who passed away on August 30, 2020.
He was a proud veteran of the Second World War and worked for Sudbury Hydro for 35 years. He then retired and then moved to West Arm to enjoy his time fishing and travelling the world with Irene.
He is survived by his sons Raymond, Paul (Marlene) and Johnny. His cherished grandchildren Denis, Monique, Marc and great-grandchild Ryan.
Predeceased by his parents Louis & Marie Servant (nee Desormeaux). Dear brother of Jeanne (Cyril) Dussiaume, Yvette (Mickey) Gilbeau, Georgette (Leo) Olivier, Denise (Rheal) Paquette, Laurette (Lucien) Tremblay, Raymond (Claudia), Roland (Harriet), Gerald (Angie) and Albert (Chloe).
Visitation will take place at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd. Sudbury on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., during which we will share memories, laughter and probably a few tears in his honour. On Sunday, there will then be a service at 4 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
