TROTTIER, Alain

It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the age of 48 years. Cherished son of the late Gerald Trottier and Rachel Trottier-Bourgeon (Dave Bourgeon). Loving father of Noah Ross, Elizabeth Richard (Jacob Secenj), Alec Ross and Melanie Ross. Dear brother of Natalie Schaub (Bernard), Tina Trottier-Thaxter (Randy) and Monique Grenier (Jeff). Proud uncle of Kedrick, Savanah, Keagan, Kaleb and Nathan. He will be sadly missed by his grandmothers Gilberte Trottier (late Henry) and Thérèse Brosseau (late Rolland). He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Growing up, Alain loved playing outdoors with his tonka trucks, swing set and sandbox. He loved riding his bike, going fishing, being in nature, going hunting with his dad, playing video games, and watching gory movies.

As a teen, Al loved his Heavy Metal music, he was a huge fan of Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Guns N' Roses just to name a few. He learned and loved playing his candy red electric guitar. He was an amazing singer as well, and loved to sing to anyone that would listen. Music was his gateway where he could deal with any emotion he was feeling.

In high school, everyone knew him as Allica for his love of Metallica! He even saw them live in Toronto!!

Al was a huge fan of hockey! Growing up his favourite team was the Edmonton Oilers with his favourite player Wayne Gretzky. As a young adult and till his last breath it was the Toronto Maple Leafs. He watched his games religiously! He was so happy when they scored! He would yell, dance and light up!

Al was different, he was unique, he was tough, and he connected with everyone that crossed his path.

He absolutely loved bonfires, had a huge love for cats, a very deep love for his family, especially for his mom. He was protective, a true honest guy, quite sensitive, a jokester, and a man with a heart of gold.

Alain's biggest wish was to reconnect with his children. His wish came true! He finally was reconnected with his youngest two, he was overjoyed, he was complete.

Alain had a tough life, but we can all say that his last year was his best year! May he rest in peace, he will be sadly missed and loved by many, always.
