Arsenal the pet hawk missing from Ramara, Ont.; owner fears theft

ORILLIA, Ont. — Police are asking people to keep an eagle eye out for a missing pet hawk in the area of Orillia, Ont.

They say one-year-old Arsenal disappeared sometime Wednesday from outside a home in Ramara.

The owner searched the area and noted shoe prints nearby.

The ferruginous hawk was tethered at the time but the tether is also missing.

Police say if Arsenal somehow managed to escape, the tether should still be attached to its leg.

Anyone with information is asked to contact provincial police in Orillia or Crime Stoppers.
