Bracebridge, Ont., under boil water advisory after water main break

BRACEBRIDGE, Ont. — An Ontario cottage country town is under a boil water advisory after a water main break.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit issued the advisory for the town of Bracebridge, Ont., on Sunday.

It says it's not currently safe to drink water from the tap, and doing so may cause illness.

Older people, young children and people with weakened immune systems are the most at risk.

The health unit advises people to boil their water before drinking or use bottled water for the time being.

Residents can also pick up drinking water from an approved local water treatment plant.
