One dead after fire in west-end Toronto apartment building: paramedics

TORONTO — One person is dead following a fire at an apartment building in west-end Toronto.

Police say emergency crews were called to the building shortly after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

They say a person was found without vital signs in one of the units.

Paramedics say the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

No details about the deceased have been released. 

The fire has been put out and police are investigating.
