Police lay child porn charges after months long investigation near Sudbury, Ont.

ESPANOLA, Ont. — Provincial police near Sudbury, Ont., say they've charged a 22-year-old man with child porn and luring-related offences.

Police say their investigation began in May after they received reports about indecent images on the social media account of a man in Espanola, Ont.

They say a lengthy investigation led to police laying several charges, including inviting an underage person to sexual touching and having child porn for the purpose of publishing or distributing.

Investigators say the man was also charged with luring and making sexually explicit material available to an underage person.

They say the accused is in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police say their investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with additional information to come forward.
