Police search for teens accused of accosting, assaulting elderly woman

PEMBROKE, Ont. — Provincial police are searching for four teens accused of harassing an elderly woman in Pembroke, Ont., and hitting her in the head with a rock.

Police say the incident with the rock happened last week, and the woman was treated in hospital.

They say the assault was part of "ongoing harassment" against the woman by a group of teens who also vandalized her home and yelled "racial comments" at her.

Police are searching for four people believed to be between the ages of 15 and 17.

They say that at the time of the alleged assault, the teens were wearing shorts and baseball caps, and travelling on bicycles.
