Toronto man, 18, charged with second-degree murder of boy

TORONTO — A man from Toronto has been charged with murder after a fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy on Saturday. 

Toronto police say officers responded to a shooting in the area of Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue West just before 1 a.m. 

They say officers found a boy suffering from a gunshot wound who was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead later.

Police identified the victim as Shalldon Samuda of Toronto.

Investigators have arrested and charged an 18-year-year old man from Toronto with second-degree murder. 

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
